Common fixes
Importing a skin on iPhone or iPad
Download a .wsz skin in Safari, then open it from the Files app and choose Orin. You can also import it from Orin's Skins menu.
Importing a skin on Mac
Open the .wsz file with Orin, or drag it onto Orin's window, or import it from the Skins menu.
Importing a skin on Android
Download the .wsz file, then import it from Orin's Skins menu and pick it from your Downloads folder.
Restoring Orin Unlock
Already bought Orin Unlock? Open the unlock screen in Orin and tap Restore purchase, signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you bought it with. On Apple devices, one purchase covers iPhone, iPad and Mac.
A file won't play
Orin plays MP3, M4A/AAC, FLAC, OGG, Opus and WAV files. Files bought or downloaded with DRM (for example from a streaming service) can't be played. If a file plays elsewhere but not in Orin, email us the format and we'll look into it.
Adding the widget (iPhone)
Touch and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, search for Orin and choose medium or large. Needs iOS 17 or later.
Frequently asked
Is Orin free?
Yes. The download, the player, the EQ, the visualizer and Orin's own skin are free forever. Skins you import are free for 14 days; after that, a one-time $6.99 unlock keeps them. There's no subscription.
What music files does Orin play?
MP3, M4A/AAC, FLAC, OGG, Opus and WAV files that you own. It doesn't stream from Spotify, Apple Music or other services, and it can't play DRM-protected files.
Where do I get skins?
Thousands of classic .wsz skins from the 2000s are free to download from skin archives online. Open a .wsz file from Files, Safari or your Downloads and choose Orin, or import it from the Skins menu.
What happens when the 14-day trial ends?
Your imported skins stay on your device but lock, and Orin switches back to its own skin. All your music and playlists keep working. Unlock once, for $6.99, to use every skin you've imported, forever.
Does Orin work on Mac and iPad?
Yes. One purchase on the App Store covers iPhone, iPad and Mac. On Android, it's a separate purchase through Google Play.
Does it work offline?
Completely. Orin plays files stored on your device and never needs a connection.
What data does Orin collect?
None. No account, no analytics, no advertising identifiers. Your files and skins never leave your device.
Is there a widget and lock-screen control?
Yes: a home-screen widget, lock-screen and Control Center controls, and headphone buttons all work.
Can I make my own skin?
Yes. Any skin made with the classic .wsz format works, including your own.
